Do you charge to come out? Yes: $89 on weekdays from 7 am to 6 pm, and $189 at night, at weekends and on holidays. If you go ahead with the repair, the call-out comes off the bill.
Is the price on this page the price I pay? It is where the job starts. Once we have seen the problem we write a fixed price on the ticket and you sign it. It only changes if you agree to more work.
How soon can you come? For an emergency we aim for 90 minutes anywhere in the valley, day or night. Other jobs are usually the same or next weekday, with a two-hour arrival window sent by text.
Are you licensed and insured? Yes. Master plumber licence MP-40417, gas fitter licence GF-2210 and $2 million in general liability cover. Ask and we will email the certificates.
What does the guarantee cover? Our workmanship, for two years from the date on the ticket. Parts and appliances also carry the maker's warranty, which we register in your name.
Do you do heating as well as plumbing? Yes: gas and oil boilers, hot-water radiators, baseboard heat and water heaters. We don't work on forced-air ductwork or air conditioning.
Will you clean up after? Drop cloths go down before we start, old parts leave with us, and we wipe the floor before we go. It is on the ticket as included.
How do I pay? Card, check or bank transfer on the day. For jobs over $1,500 we ask for a third up front to order the parts.
I smell gas. What do I do? Leave the house, don't switch anything on or off, and call the gas company's emergency line from outside. Once they have made it safe, call us to find and fix the leak.
Do you work for landlords? Yes. Owners can approve a ticket by email, and we winterize empty houses and cabins from October on.
Are quotes free? For bigger work (a new water heater, a boiler, a repipe) the visit and the written quote are free. For repairs, the call-out applies and is credited if you go ahead.
